Tin Ore

Brief Information

Raw Material:Tin Ore

Capacity:20-400t/h

End Products: ≤5mm

Key Equipment

Africa is one of the world’s major tin-producing regions. Tin deposits are primarily classified into alluvial tin deposits and bedrock tin deposits. Bedrock tin deposits refer to deposits in which tin ore is found in primary rock; tin ore must be extracted through processes such as crushing, grinding, and gravity separation, and these deposits constitute a significant portion of Africa’s tin resources. tin ore is characterized by its high density and brittleness, making it prone to overgrinding during crushing and grinding. Since the grain size of tin ore in the ore is uneven, it is important to minimize overgrinding while ensuring sufficient liberation of tin ore, thereby preventing the loss of fine-grained tin ore in the slime.

The roll crusher, also known as a double roll crusher or roller crusher, utilizes two counter-rotating rolls to apply high compressive force to the material. This compression-based crushing method differs fundamentally from impact crushing, delivering superior product uniformity and lower fines generation

Structure and Working Principle

Hua Sheng Ming roll crusher consists of two rotating rolls, support bearings, a pressure adjustment mechanism, and a drive system. Material enters the crushing chamber from the top and is drawn into the gap between the two rolls by friction. As the rolls rotate in opposite directions, they apply sustained compressive and shearing forces to the material, crushing it to the desired size.

The discharge particle size is controlled by adjusting the gap between the rolls. When unbreakable material enters the chamber, the rolls can retract automatically through hydraulic or spring mechanisms, protecting the equipment from damage.

Modern Hua Sheng Ming hydraulic roll crushers feature intelligent control systems that dynamically adjust roll gap pressure, achieving precise particle size control.

Advantages of Double-Roll Crushers in Tin Ore Processing

Minimal over-grinding helps protect Tin Ore

Double-roll crushers primarily rely on the compressive and shear forces between the roll surfaces to crush material. The material undergoes a relatively slow compression process between the rolls, resulting in a relatively “gentle” crushing method. Compared to impact-type equipment such as hammer crushers and impact crushers, double-roll crushers produce significantly less fine powder and over-crushed material. In the case of rock tin ore, cassiterite is brittle and has a high density. Reducing over-grinding means that more cassiterite retains a coarser particle size, allowing for efficient recovery in subsequent gravity separation and significantly improving the overall tin recovery rate.

The output particle size is uniform, making it easy to control the final crush size.

The gap between the two rollers of a double-roller crusher can be flexibly adjusted according to process requirements, resulting in a uniform product particle size with few oversized or undersized particles. The final crush size can be reliably controlled; for example, stannite ore can be crushed to -5 mm, -3 mm, or even finer, providing qualified feed material for grinding.

Relatively low energy consumption

In medium- and fine-crushing operations, the energy consumption per unit of product for double-roll crushers is typically lower than that of impact crushers and some cone crushers. For mining areas in Africa with limited power supply and high fuel costs, low-energy-consumption equipment offers greater economic efficiency.

Low dust levels, smooth operation

The double-roll crusher uses low-speed compression crushing, which generates minimal dust during the crushing process and produces relatively low noise and vibration. This helps improve the on-site working environment and reduces the load on the dust collection system.
