A: Huashengming double-roll crushers operate via counter-rotating inter-particle compression, making them ideal for brittle, medium-to-high hardness materials in secondary and fine crushing stages. Conversely, plastic, high-toughness, or sticky materials are unsuitable for this mechanism.
✅ Recommended Feed Materials
1. Hard Rocks & Aggregates (Top Choice for Sand Making)
River pebbles, cobbles, granite, basalt, diabase, quartz stone, bluestone, limestone, calcite, marble, weathered rock, and aggregate recirculation oversize (grit/rice stone returns).
Process Note: Hydraulic models paired with high-wear alloy shells deliver cubical particle shapes with low fines and minimal flaky fragments, making them ideal for processing returned material from VSI impactors.
2. Metallic & Non-Metallic Ores
Iron ore, gold ore, copper ore, manganese, lead-zinc ore, phosphate rock, barite, and other brittle ores. Used in fine crushing within mineral processing to achieve “More Crushing, Less Grinding” and reduce downstream ball mill loads.
3. Industrial Raw Materials & Solid Waste
Coal, coke, granulated blast furnace slag, steel slag, cement clinker, concrete rubble, brick fragments, and construction waste pre-treatment for metallurgy, brick making, and recycling plants.

⚠️ Material Constraints & Strict Prohibitions
⚠️ Use with Caution (Requires Controlled Conditions)
- Sticky, High-Clay Feeds: Pure clay or heavy muds tend to adhere to roller surfaces, causing output size fluctuations. Moisture must be controlled, blended with dry feed, or regularly cleaned off roller surfaces.
- Ultra-Hard Abrasive Rock (Mohs > 8): Rapidly accelerates roller shell wear; requires custom hardfacing/welded surfaces rather than standard shell models.
❌ Prohibited / Unsuitable Materials
- High-Toughness & Flexible Materials: Rubber, plastics, asphalt, cloth strips, etc. These flatten rather than shatter and wrap around rollers, causing mechanical failure.
- Large Metal Debris & Rebar: Stray iron severely damages roller surfaces. Upstream magnetic separators are mandatory.
- Oversized Boulders: Feeds exceeding the maximum allowable roller intake diameter cause slippage and bounce; must be pre-crushed upstream.
- Hazardous Materials: Explosive or highly flammable substances are strictly forbidden.

💡 Huashengming Selection & Operation Guidelines
| Operational Tip | Best Practice / Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Hard-Rock Processing | Prioritize hydraulic models equipped with automatic yielding to protect roller shells from uncrushable objects. |
| Feeding Protocol | Ensure uniform feeding across the full length of the rollers to prevent uneven local shell wear. |
| Roll Shell Configuration | Use toothed rolls for larger feed sizes/high bite; use smooth rolls for fine sand-making and strict particle shape requirements. |
